In their article, on its Website mentioned that screen backlight in 13-inch affected Macbook Pro units either intermittently or continuously along with showing vertical line top to the bottom of the screen. In few cases it is noticed that display backlight is completely stop on the MacBook Pro.

As mentioned above Flexagate issue was first reported in 2019-January , Apple has fixed this same problems in new MacBook Pro models by increasing cable length inside the display.

According to Apple, this free Flexagate program is available globally and it will cover the Macbook pro which is eligible with four years of its purchase date.

Apart from this “flexgate” service program, Apple also announces repair programs for MacBook models that are facing keyboard issues because of “butterfly-mechanism.”

Rest all will be same like NON-User Removable Battery, Non-Replaceable Butterfly Keyboard, Force touch trackpad with USB C ports, Removing mag safe was the worst mistake Apple has done. Now the big question is will they continue with their 15Inch models when they will release 16Inch and we think “yes” as and they always do it till new 16 inches do not get much response they will keep all existing 15 Inch, models.

Apple Macbook Pro or Apple Mac’s are costly when compared with Dell, HP, Lenovo which runs on Windows Operating system so it’s a good idea to buy used but keep these few things in mind before buying used Macs.

Buying a used Mac considered a risk as you never know the history of the device and if there was any major repaired involved and trust me most the seller from OLX, Quickr or even friend who is selling will never tell you the facts so one should always keep a few below points in mind before making a deal.

First thing first : If you are a designer or developer or business person who is planning to use the device for work purpose then I will suggest go with NEW Mac and buy only from “Apple Store Near You“ as whatever money you will invest in buying will come out in 6 to 8 months and there is NO risk involved which can impact the work, time & money in future. (Example it may happen that you have done a video editing for someone using this old mac and the mac gets dead you go to check with a seller you have purchased and he denied then first you will spend money to Data Recovery and then repair of that mac.) Now, who can buy this used kind of used devices.

If you are learning something which required macOS or just for small office work or browsing you can buy here is the first tips

1. Your Requirments: Check your needs as there are many sellers who will try to selling you something which is not required (Example: I have seen a seller sold Macbook Pro Retina 15 Inch, i7, 16GB RAM, 512 Storage to a person who only works on Emails & MS word) most of the seller will tell you the benefits of the high-end hardware or how a low-end hardware can also work for them (Example: Selling Macbook Air to a Graphic Designer) so its best to not deal with them or tell them straight your requirement and period.
2. Fully Working ONLY: Never buy a mac which is partially not working example backlight dead, trackpad not working, battery not functioning, or hard drive is failed as it may possible that it may have some other issue which will arise in future. (Few sellers may try to give you a free wireless mouse saying instead of trackpad let me clear the trackpad not working issue can be related with trackpad itself or motherboard)
3. The Check List: Here is the checklist keep this handy while buying
   • Check all USB ports
   • Charging Port, Screen
   • Webcam audio / video
   • Trackpad Smoothness
   • Keyboard All Keys
   • Hinges Smoothness
   • Battery Backup
   • Wifi (It must connect on Hotspot too)
   • Speakers both speakers
   • Keyboard Backlight
   • Check charger if it is heating while charging
   • Check for mac heating when using it
   • Headphone Jack
   • The brightness of the screen
   • how long it takes to boot compare it with some another same model
   • Storage size etc
   • Check activity monitor (Idle must be 90% and above while doing nothing
4. Things which can be ignored: As you are buying a used device if there are few dents, scratches you can ignore and consider a buying.
5. Charging adaptor: This is very important if you see the seller is giving you new Chinese charger avoid it buying or request for ORIGINAL USED or NEW Original Charger do not fall in their lines that they are giving you new charger (Remember New Chinese charger can cost 2000 INR to 2500 INR wherein USED original charger can cost 3000 INR to 4000 INR and above)
6. Charging Cable: While buying if you come across the charger looks old but cable looks new don’t buy that mean the has been major repaired involved in the charger which is I strongly not recommend.
7. Warranty: Ask the seller for warranty minimum of 3 months warranty no matter what, If the device is perfectly ok then it’s quite possible that he will not hesitate for it if he denies then avoid that it’s better to check for another then falling in their trap.
8. Serial Number: To check the genuine of the product take the serial number and search it online to check the configuration ask the seller for original bills and box is available.
9. Which Mac to Avoid: Do not buy any mac which is built before Mid 2012 as has a small graphics card which does not function well when you upgrade your macOS.

We all know that apple makes one of the finest product when it comes to portable computers or electronics. Yes the price is high but it’s simple the more you pay the better quality you can expect. Apple Macbook Air is only one of the light weight, powerful, batter battery backup with 13Inch screen you can get in the laptops market you can get right now!

The maintenance or repair cost for mac is very high when we compare to laptops here are few steps we recommend you can follow and can expect a better performance and increase the life of a macbook air. I’ve use Apple Macbook Pro Retina & Apple Macbook Air Personally for many years and here is my experience.

1. Battery Charging: Always make sure you charge you device for 100% and drain till 10% and the recharge again, Never keep it on charging all the time by completing this cycle you are making battery more effective to hold the charge and get it charge.
2. Use Right OS: As i aways say go with what is your requirement never do OS Upgrade as soon you get Notification always wait at least for a month before you upgrade while upgrade a higher macOS always check if you hardware can run smooth on it the latest OS (Right now there is MacOS mojave available but as i have a 4GB RAM i have not updated from El Capitan) does the latest os matter your work?? what additional feature new os has? do yo have need for it example many have enabled the SIRI on mac and do not use by doing this you are making one function running in the background which will consume the mac resources which can impact on performance.
3. 60% Battery: Whenever you plan not to use your macbook for more then 3 days make sure you have 60% of battery charged and turned off when you keep 60%-65% is best very important never leave you macbook with less then 10% battery for more then 2 days.
4. Charging Port Heating: While charging keep an eye on charging port heating when ever you feel its heating lot disconnect and connect back after 1 min mac’s can become hot while charging.
5. 3 PIN Cable: Always use 3 pin cable for the macbook charger generally you get a 2 pin charger when you buy a new mac you can always purchase a new or use macbook charger 3 pin cable, it will give you earthing which can eliminate the vibration feeling you get when you put on charging(That Vibration is actually a current which flow all over mac as these devices are build with aluminium metal)
6. Battery Replacement Warning: Whenever you get “Service Battery Message Notification” get the battery change asap as using the damaged battery may damage the some other component.
7. Protection Cover: Never put that protection cover on it as it will make you mac heat faster and eventually decrease the performance also these protection cover has a weight which can make the hinges loose due to its weight.
